Yield: Watermelon Punch (4 Servings)
Needed Kitchenware: Blender, large pitcher, sieve or fine-mesh strainer
  • 400 g watermelon wedges
  • 227 g strawberries
  • handful of ice cubes
  • 200 ml orange juice, pulp-free
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar of Modena
  • 500 ml sparkling lemonade
  • 5 cucumber ribbons
  • 1 orange, sliced

Directions

  • Prepare your watermelon by cutting off and discarding the rinds, then cutting the watermelon into chunks. Discard any seeds from the watermelon. Remove the leaves from the strawberries and cut away any hard white areas from the strawberries. Cut your cucumber into 5 long cucumber ribbons or use a mandoline to create the ribbons.
  • In your blender, put ¾ of the watermelon and ½ of the strawberries. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour this mixture through a sieve or fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher.
  • To this, add the ice, orange juice, balsamic vinegar, and half of the sparkling lemonade. Stir to combine.
  • Cut the remaining strawberries in half.
  • To the pitcher, add the cucumber slices, orange slices, watermelon chunks, and strawberry halves.
  • Pour in the remaining sparkling lemonade and serve immediately.
