This delicious dessert combines nectarines together with rosemary, the natural sugar of maple syrup, and a little lime juice.

Yield: 1 Fruit Galette (6 Servings)
Needed Kitchenware: Mixing bowls, parchment paper, baking tray, oven
  • 300g all-purpose flour
  • 150ml oil
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3-5 tbsp ice water
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 nectarines
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • squeeze of lime juice
  • some rosemary leaves
Recipe Directions


  • Preheat oven to 180°C or 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, oil, vanilla sugar, maple syrup, ice water, and salt. Combine thoroughly until it forms a firm ball. Move this into the refridgerator to let rest.
  • Cut the nectarines into long wedges. Mix these slices with the cornstarch and lime juice.
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Onto this, retrieve your dough and roll thinly into a circle. Layer the nectarines on top, fold in the edges a little, and sprinkle with the rosemary leaves.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until the crust begins to brown.
  • Serve alone or with your favorite non-dariy yogurt or ice cream. Enjoy!

To substitute the sachet of vanilla sugar, use 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla and a dash of more maple syrup or granulated sugar.

You can use any oil you would like but recommend one that does not have a strong flavor.
