Perfect side dish or dessert to accompany any grilled meal outdoors. Pineapple is prepared on skewers and grilled with a maple glaze. The result are smoky, sticky, super sweet pineapple skewers which taste amazing paired with savory grilled burgers or served on their own with ice cream as a dessert.

Yield: 8 Pineapple Skewers (4 Servings)
Needed Kitchenware: Mixing bowl, kitchen brush, grill
  • 1 pineapple
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 8 wood skewers, soaked in water
Recipe Directions


  • Preheat your grill to anywhere between 400°-500°F or 200°-260°C.
  • Peel and cut your pineapple into 8 long wedges.
  • Push a skewer into the middle of each pineapple wedge.
  • Brush each slice with maple syrup and place onto the grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side, brush with maple syrup after turning them.
  • Serve immediately as a side dish or as a dessert.

For a wonderful dessert, pair these with ice cream and garnish with mint.
