Yield: 1 Casserole (8 Servings)
Needed Kitchenware: Sauce pan, covered baking dish
  • 16 oz frozen green beans, defrosted (or fresh)
  • 1½ cup vegan cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz vegan cream of mushroom soup (or cream of cauliflower soup)
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 40 Ritz crackers (or other vegan soft cracker)
  • ½ cup French onions

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400° F.
  • In a sauce pan over medium-low heat, add the soup, cheddar cheese, butter, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Heat until it's all melted and mixed together.
  • Add your green beans to a baking or casserole dish and pour the melted mixture over the beans evenly. Cover your baking dish and put into the oven for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove dish from oven and uncover. Crumble crackers and spread evenly on top. Sprinkle French onions on top of the crackers. Put dish back into oven uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately, enjoy!
Notes

Recipe has been adjusted compared to video to reduce cooking time for crispier green beans. Use video cooking time of 20 minutes for softer green beans.
