Ingredients & Directions

Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

Yield: 1 Cake (1 Serving)
Needed Kitchenware: Blender or Food Processor, 1 small baking dish, 1 small saucepan
Cake
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup oatmilk
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
Frosting
Recipe Directions

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Blend all the cake ingredients until combined and pour into your baking dish directly. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Whisk all the frosting ingredients in the saucepan and place onto the stove on the lowest heat. Whisk constantly until thoroughly combined and thickened.
  • When the cake is done, pour the frosting on top and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes

You can substitute the oatmilk for your favorite plant-based milk.

Commercial oatmilk uses enzymes to break down the starches so when it cooks it will not get thicker. If you make homemade oatmilk, do not use it with this recipe as it will thicken the cake in an unpleasant way.
